Michelle J. ELSON-ROZA
Michelle ("MJER") has always loved healthy cooking, entertaining, and throwing a great celebration! She loves finding a good excuse to bring family and friends together over a shared meal and glass of wine. Michelle believes almost any dispute can be solved at the dinner table. She grew up in a family that always ate dinner together, loved to travel, and celebrated milestones over special meals. These experiences greatly influence our mission at MJER Help.
Michelle graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and worked in the management consulting and hedge fund industries for 10+ years before deciding to follow her dream to attend culinary school and start a business with her husband. Michelle completed her Accelerated Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Kendall College in Chicago in September 2016. During culinary school, she worked at a catering company that executed the James Beard Awards and society events, volunteered in Kendall's garden, staged at local area farms with restaurants, and worked Outstanding in the Field's Chicago dinners. In Omaha, she worked at the Grey Plume Provisions, Saddle Creek Breakfast Club (SCBC), and taught cooking lessons at the Union for Contemporary Art before committing to MJER Help full-time.
Michelle is passionate about healthy living and vegetable cookery. She played tennis while attending Washington University in St. Louis and has finished a handful of triathlons. She started cooking healthy food as a child because her parents were extremely health conscious, but not as focused on delicious flavors!
